Daniela and I were doing a story on the World’s Largest Book Fair in Pasadena when we heard that Whitney Houston died.  Since we were so close to the Beverly Hilton, we decided to drive over and do a couple live shots.

It is a tragedy to see such a beautiful and talented person die so young.  She was so influential, and many fans traveled to the hotel to mourn her passing last night.  Several celebrities who attended the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party, which Whitney goes to every year, were also shocked and disheartened by the unfortunate news.
